Our new temporary exhibition of photographer Csaba Varga titled 1956 – Past and Present – Time Travel in Pictures, which is based on the book of the same title, is opening on October 21st and will be open to visitors until November 5th.
An exceptional and unique photo album was created for the 60th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight with the support of the Memorial Committee for 1956.
The readers are invited to take part in a historical time travel through 56 pairs of photographs. Photographer and editor Csaba Varga has chosen 56 archive photographs which had been taken in the streets of Budapest during the revolution and took the contemporary pair of the photographs of the same buildings and street views from the same angle.
